The Greene Mile: Alvin Greene’s First Campaign Speech

The nomination of Alvin Greene started off funny but now it’s not any more.  In fact I say it’s exactly what’s wrong with our political system today.  This guy is clearly out of his element.  He looks confused and it’s clear he has no idea what he’s talking about.  Sure, campaign speeches are usually light on detail and heavy on rhetoric and fluff but is there really anyone out there that thinks he has a real plan for solving anything going on in this country?  He said he’s going to take this country back from the terrorists and the communist.  The communist?  Really?  I didn’t know the Reds had taken over the country.  What is this man talking about?  I have to say he did do better than I thought he would.  But that doesn’t say much because I thought he was going to be like this guy in the Fedex commercial.

The real problem though is the audience.  There is no way in hell you could get me to clap for this clown.  Hell, I can’t believe the NAACP even asked him to speak.  I’m sorry but if I was in South Carolina I would be leaving a vote for Senator blank.  While I think Jim DeMint is a moron, I feel the same way about Alvin Greene.  People complained that during his campaign, President Obama was lacking on details.  Yet he had a 100 page PDF laying out his stance on issues.  Greene?  He has 5 bullets.  FIVE.  Look at his website, it’s pathetic.  I’m sorry but no.  Hell no.  I know some will say “But the Right has idiots too, like Sarah Palin” and that’s true.  But since when did this become a battle over which idiot is better? Sorry but there’s no way I could vote for Alvin Greene solely because he is a democrat.  Sorry but while 6 more years of Jim DeMint is bad, 6 years of a guy who I believe has some kind of mental disability  and no clear idea of what he is doing is far worse.
