Wow.  Where to start?  NAMBLA members being next?  Since when does being gay men you’re a pedophile?  Pedophilia is also illegal…so that compliant is not only horribly bigotry but it’s just logically ill thought out.  But the larger issue with me is how stupid this whole argument is.  That somehow our best trained, most professional military service men & women will crumble at the mere thought of openly serving gay members is asinine and juvenile.  And let’s not delude ourselves.  Gay men & women serve and die for this country.  Oliver North probably served with some.  He just didn’t know.  This “Out of sight, out of mind” mentality that these old white men (McCain, North, etc.) display towards keeping Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is embarrassing for the country.  I have to be honest, hearing North’s arguments against gays in the military makes wonder what North thought about integrating blacks into the military.  “Will chaplains in the U.S. military going to have to perform interracial marriages?”

Funny thing about Oliver North.  He was a convicted felon.  I say “was” because with the help of that “liberal group” (they aren’t), the American Civil Liberties Union, his conviction was overturned.  North is a crook.  Plain and simple.  And after hearing his thoughts on how “damaging” it would be for gays to openly serve in the media…he’s also an idiot.
