HONOLULU — A woman accused of telling the Secret Service she would “blow away” Michelle Obama was in federal custody Tuesday as the Obama family planned to travel to Hawaii.

Kristy Lee Roshia, 35, was charged with threatening a family member of the president and assaulting a federal agent after being arrested Saturday less than two miles from the Kailua home where the Obama family planned to stay during a holiday visit later this week.

Roshia called the Secret Service’s Boston office last month and told a receptionist, “I will kill Michelle Obama” and “I will kill Marines,” according to a Secret Service affidavit.

During the same call, she said she would “blow away” Michelle Obama, the document states.

Seriously, this is why I think crazy people should just be locked up without any question.  And obviously this chick is crazy.  First off, she CALLED THE SECRET SERVICE to leave this message.  This is almost as bad as the guy in Baltimore that tried to do a drive-by on a police station.  On top of that, there’s this from the rest of the story:

Roshia has a history of leaving rambling messages and sending poems, love letters and photographs of herself to the Secret Service, according to the affidavit.

As early as 2004, she told the agency that “although her mission is to assassinate the president, she has no desire to hurt him,” the document states.

Well since that was 2004, we know she’s not a right-wing nutcase….she’s just a fucking nutcase.  What I don’t get is, why she wasn’t still locked up from her 2004 threats?  Threats against the President, regardless of their political affiliation, are serious.  I never liked George W. Bush and if I see him in Heaven I’m punching him in the throat.  However, anyone that threatened his life should be locked up.  Period.

This is why earlier in the year, at those Tea Party Protests…the ones with people carrying assault rifles, people were upset.  Sure, most of those people are pussies in real life.  They struggle to kill a fly.  But there’s always a handful of crazies out there, walking around with a gun that think their mission from God (or some other voice in their head) is to kill the President of the United States.  THAT’S why the “rage” and craziness from those protests was so alarming.
