A 15-year-old boy who was killed by his father in an execution style killing spent the last moments of his life pleading, “No, Daddy! No!”
Jamar Pinkney Jr. was shot in the head Monday by his 37-year-old father, Jamar Pinkney Sr., who allegedly made the teen strip his clothes off and kneel in a vacant lot before he was killed by a single bullet.
The boy’s mother, Lazette Cherry, told the Detroit Free Press that Pinkney Sr., showed up at her Highland Park, Mich., home after she told him that their son had made a startling confession.
According to Cherry, the 15-year-old had admitted to having “inappropriate contact” with his 3-year-old half sister.
“I called and told his father this isn’t something you sweep under the rug,” Cherry, who was unable to be reached by ABCNews.com, told the paper.
Pinkney Sr. began by pistol whipping his son in the living room where the teen lived with his mother before taking him outside, despite Cherry’s pleas to stop.
The father marched the naked boy into the lot and made him kneel down. As the boy pleaded for his life and his distraught mother looked on, Pinkney Sr. allegedly executed the boy with a shot in the head. (Source)
This is one of those stories that is completely unbelievable. Someone put it up on Twitter but didn’t put the link up so I rushed onto the Internet to find the whole story. Once reading it…I have to admit…I can’t be mad at the father. Sure, he’s wrong. You can’t pistol whip your son and then execute him just because he did something this inexcusable. At the same time, the 15 year old did admit to inappropriately touching his 3 year old sister. His own sister? Who was 3? Sure, we could say that Jamar Pinkney Jr was just a child…but even a 15 year old knows better than to molest a 3 year old. So I’m stuck feeling like Chris Rock on OJ: I’m not saying he should have killed him…but I understand. Yes he should be locked up for life, but at the same time I can’t judge him for snapping upon finding out what he did. Who knows what I would do if I found out my 3 year old daughter was molested…by anyone. God help anyone stupid enough to try to find out.
Truth be told, I wish more fathers would do this with the grown ass men that molest their daughters. Fuck a code of conduct or a rule of law. Considering what happened in the Shaniya Davis case, we need to start going to extremes to protect our young children. The man who raped and killed Shaniya Davis deserves a bullet in his head and truth be told, so does her “mother.” Child molestation is one of the worse crimes that anyone can ever commit and we need to stop treating it like its some kind of “helpless impulse” these sick fuckers have and start dealing out justice for the young children that can’t defend themselves. Even if impulsive “street justice” like what Pinkney Sr. did isn’t correct, at the very least child molestation should be a capital offense.

I agree. Another crazy thing about this story is….if you google it, half of the sources and news sites that have articles up about the story say that the father killed the son after he had sexual contact with “a three-year old girl” or “a female toddler.” The media is so stuck on portraying this guy as a “heartless killer” that they’re even altering the story. Clearly, the fact that it was his own SISTER/the man’s DAUGHTER that he molested were his main motives for doing it. Not that it makes it right for him to have killed the boy but, it sheds a lot of light on the situation and I think it’s wrong that the some of media is painting such a one-sided picture of the story.

I will wear the asshole hat on this…he should have pistol whipped him. Not killed him, but definitely beat his ass. And, the sad part about this is now this man will more than likely be locked up for life, but had he let his son live, that boy would have more than likely went on to do the same to other kids. Also, if the parents would have reported him and let the “justice” system deal with him, he would have gotten a slap on the wrist and the parents would be between a rock and a hard place because the state would not have taken him in and they would have required that he be sent back to the home…with the victim. So, this situation was no win for all involved. Our society won’t deal with offenders at early ages, and that is half of why they grow up to become violent predators or silent community molesters (the kind that are teachers, coaches, clergy, really good family friends, etc). Sad story.
The media is wrong for not reporting the whole story. It doesn’t surprise me though.

You know what I’m thinking… I wonder if the dad ever messed w/ the little girl or his son and he was scared the son would tell… Shoot if he would tell that he did it they would force him into therapy and he would spill the beans on his father’s involvement…
He still ends up in jail but he looks more like a hero in this situation than if were to be found out as molesting his children also…
It’s a CRAZY situation… and I would have at least listened to HOW or WHAT his son did to his sister… it could have been tongue kissing who knows (although still not right definitely not deserving death)…
But in the end I’m like the BOY CAME TO YOU!!! Give him that much geesh… If you walked in on it YES I can justify your actions but when your child comes to you with a problem they know is wrong then HELP them… Beat their asses but killing them is going too far…

I actually thought about that. What if the father had molested the boy or, because it sounds like the father & mother aren’t together anymore, the woman’s boyfriend or someone else had molested the boy. Then this situation is even sadder.
Either way you look at it, this is a bad and extremely sad situation.

Real talk? If anyone of you have kids, then think about it for a moment. I mean, your son comes to you and tells you something really foul like this and what do you think your response would have been? I am NOT saying that him killing his son was right. It wasn’t. What I seem to be hearing is that the father may have been an abuser (sexual in nature) as well because he reacted so strongly. I disagree. While killing your kid should not be the standard in cases like this, I cannot understand how anyone would mistake his anger for possible skeletons in the closet. I guess it’s possible, but I just see a man who was pissed.
And Kriss…I think the saddest part is that his son was more than likely a victim himself. That’s why it’s so important for males who are abused to be taken seriously and helped because they often repeat the cycle if they don’t get help.

What does him being black or having dread locks have to do with anything? No one said what he did was right. He’s obviously going to jail. However, thinking someone molested your 3 year old daughter no matter who it is…can make a man lose their mind.

I don’t know about this… seems like there are a lot of holes in the story. Was it just “inappropriate touching” or something else? Also, was the girl his sister, or the father’s daughter by someone else? Some reports say there was an argument, if so, what about? If you confess to molesting a 3 year old what can you argue about? And, the boy was 15, not 10 or 8. Too many holes to pass judgement for or against the father. It’s really a sad story though. It’s despicable to kill your own child, it’s despicable to molest a 3 year old as well. No one wins, why argue about color or hair styles?

I dont’t agree with the father but who is thinking about the quality of this 3 year old child. Will she ever have children? Will she have selfesteem problems. How has this effected a tiny bodythat has not fullt developed yet.

So now that the little girl’s brother was murdered and her dad’s in jail for life, it’s like the molestation never happened. Violence solves everything.
