A week or two ago, the ever vigilant Glenn Beck informed us all of the impending Obama Administration plot to try to take over our computers. Using the CARS.gov site, the Administration was apparently doing a test run of how they could trick us into allowing them complete access to our machines. The person he brought onto the show to back up his lack of facts or knowledge just happened to be a guy who runs a company….that sells security software. Hey, if I was that guy I’d be backing up this crazy ass claim too. Easy way to get people to run out and buy your software. I mean the entire segment was crazy and the people that believed it were even nuttier. This coupled with the President’s “Death Panels” meant that the government would snoop around and read your emails, take money out of your bank accounts and maybe even electroshock you while you proof read your child’s term paper. Now as I said in the article I wrote last week, this story was completely blown out of proportion. But it left me feeling as if I’ve heard of this before. Then it hit me….this was part of the plot of Live Free or Die Hard. Terrorists take over the U.S. network using a group of hackers and then blows them up one at a time by sending a signal to their computer which is strapped with C-4. And if the C-4 doesn’t kill you, the highly trained special forces units will.
Trust me people, if we could do this, I’d be the new age Unabomber. Although I wouldn’t use C-4. I’d just strap a really sharp pencil to a rubber band and every time I hit “ctrl-alt-del”, the person on the other end would get a quick jab to their thigh.
Seriously though, this is scary. Glenn Beck is getting his conspiracy theories from Hollywood movies. When will people finally wake up? When he starts claiming the Cash 4 Clunkers program is really a secret DOD project to build grandma-killing Transformers? I just don’t get it. Last night Glenn Beck tried to compare the formation of Germany’s Nazi party with the economic crisis we are going through. Are you kidding me? Glenn Beck is a College drop out. He has virtually no education. And he’s going to give a history lesson on Nazis? I can’t do this…..

The whole Nazi comparison (while coupled with claims of socialism and communism, and other various bullshit-tastic claims) is kind of funny to me. What many nationalistic, conservative, like-mindedness desiring people do not understand is that THEY are the ones that become the Nazis. They are the ones looking for political/racial/religious purity. They are the ones who have love for country out of something they cannot even explain, speaking of the greatness of this country (when in actuality, we rank pretty lowly in global health care, education, etc.). They are the ones who will not back down or apologize for anything. They are the people who are uneducated and poor and being manipulated by the ruling class agenda. THEY are the Nazis.
The simplest breakdown is that the Nazis were probably our last CLEAR enemy. Every other “enemy” has had a layer of nuance, even the USSR. So it is easy to incite fear and misunderstanding when comparing people to our worst enemies in the last 100 years, especially when most do not KNOW the history of how the Nazi movement came about and who became Nazis.

First of all, why don’t you bother to go to cars.gov on your own computer and read on the login page exactly what it says? it says clear as day that after you login, your computer would then be the property of the united states government and everything on the computer can be used to the satisfaction of the US government. If you do not believe security software, why not GO TO THE SOURCE and READ!? This is clearly yet another of your rants about how you hate Glenn Beck and that everything he does is wrong in your opinion, eventhough he backs up all his theories with FACTS and PROOF.
If you have any guts and really believe what you say is true, go the cars.gov and read it for yourself.
Also, go read for yourself about the people that the president has been associating with, the people that are ADVISING him. The green jobs czar said at one point of his life he was a communist and believed in lennin’s principles. And he has NEVER said since then that he is no longer a communist.
Holdren, Obama’s science czar believes in exterminating 80-90 percent of the world’s popuplation. It says it right in his book, actually government policy textbook, “Ecoscience”. Look it up.
Maybe you should check all this out, if you are actually open minded and not just set to one belief and just out to get all that say anything bad about the government.

Actually Gabrielle, you’re the idiot. I did go to cars.gov on my computer. First off, as I said, its ONLY for dealers. If you went to cars.gov from your personal computer as a consumer…THERE IS NO LOG IN. Secondly, I said it in the article, this is a standard warning. How do I know? Because I work for a private company that has a government client that has a similar warning when we connect to their network through a VPN. I even explained to your dumb ass why that standard is there.
Glenn Beck doesn’t have facts, he has his paranoia, suspicions and a whole lot of innuendo. And idiots like you who believe his paranoid delusion filled rants obviously don’t want the facts because I’ve put them right in front of you.

Remember one thing. Just because your paranoid, does not mean that they are not out to get you.
The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. Yes, Glenn Beck may be out there at times, but seriously, have you ever watched network news. They take non issues and spend weeks debating and talking about crap that has little to do with anything. Liberal or Conservative or whatever, our way of life is under attack. I can’t tell you what the outcome will be, but there are some very disturbing things happening in this government and the world in general. Alternative news like Glenn’s program attempt to get at the issues that mainstream just won’t touch. Does that mean you should buy all of it at face value? Certainly not. The point is that it opens up for discussion topics that you may not have otherwise been aware of. In the end it is our duty to research the issues at hand and make up our own minds. The only real idiots are those who refuse to think for themselves and choose to just accept what they are told, regardless of the source, and then fall in line with the rest of the sheep. God Save America
