You can buy cheap but useful machetes at wal-mart…camping section. That’s where i get mine.. In fact camping stores and sport supplies stores carry them…along with tomahawks
National parks dont have security screens for blades or firearms. so technically, you can take a hike carrying your 9 long as its not out in the open.
I went hiking two weeks ago and brought my K-Bar with me..hey, you never know..but for me carrying a knife wherever I go is natural.
